KARACHI, Nov 21: Eight ships, carrying containers and to load cement, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where three ships, Bow Fuji, Sima Paya and Brilliant Escadores were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included Rising Om, YM Inception, Hansa Linerty, Hyundai Emperor, Red Sea Spirit and Golden Arrow while Splandour, Bow Fuji, H&H Tide, Oriental Moon, Hadrian, Oel Transworld, X-Press Khyber, Brilliant Escadores, Johar, Darya Raag and Bavaria Express are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.126m tons, comprising 76,905 tons of export cargo and48,912 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: YM Inventive, Bunga Delima, Soon Fu, Sima Pride, Conti Harmony, Eric G Gibson and Northern Harmony, with containers and Morning Seagul, to load 8,000 tons of cement.
