BHC gets three more judges

ISLAMABAD, Dec 3: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday increased the sanctioned strength of the Balochistan High Court from eight to 11.

The decision to appoint more judges was taken because of heavy work load, a senior government official said.

The move follows a decision to enhance the number of Supreme Court judges from 16 to 29 taken on June 23.

Similarly, the number of judges in the Sindh High Court was increased to 40 from 28 and that of the Peshawar High Court to 20 from 15.—Staff Reporter
