SWABI: Computer workshop begins at GIK institute
SWABI, May 12: Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing would be revolutionized by the computer integrated product designing and manufacturing in the first decade of the current century.
This was the crux of the speeches on the opening day of international workshop on “Computer-integrated product and manufacturing” at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute for Engineering Sciences and Technology at Topi on Sunday. The workshop organized by the faculty of mechanical engineering of GIK institute and sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank will continue till May 19.
From Albania, the head of Institute of Study and Mechanical Design, Tirana, Kastriot Veiz Veizaj, and Fatos Petro Tusha; deputy manager of Bangladesh Food and Sugar Industry Corporation Mohammad Shahidul Karim; Bigirwa A. David and Winfred Naluyinda of Vocational Training Institute in Uganda; Ship Designer Amir Hussein Abedini of Iran; Talant Abdullayev Tynchbekovich, expert of information systems, ministry of transport and communication, Bishkek; Ahmed Sulaiman, assistant director, National Advanced Training Institute of Kemahiran Tinggi, Kuala Lumpur; Dr Haydar Livatyali of Turkey; Rehman Bin A. Mohammad of Malaysia; Rafi Javed of Taxila University of Engineering and Technology; and experts of the GIK institute would give lectures.
