KARACHI: Palestinians’ Massacre by Israeli forces flayed

KARACHI, Dec 28: The Jamaat-i-Islami staged a protest rally outside Jamia Masjid Binnori Town on Sunday against Israeli air strikes on Gaza in which more than 250 Palestinians were killed.

Holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the US and Israel, the protesters demonstrated their anger and grief by raising slogans against the “brutality” of Israel.

Organised as part of the countrywide protest in response to the call of JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad, the rally was addressed by JI leaders Syed Munawwar Hasan, Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman and others.

They condemned Israel for the “inhuman” operation and criticised the Arab League, the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Conference for remaining silent over the killings of Palestinians. The so-called international rights organisations had become “decoration pieces”, which had failed to play their due role to condemn such brutalities and massacres, speakers said.

The JI leaders said it was unfortunate that instead of raising a voice against the bloodshed of innocent people and stopping the Zionist forces from unleashing a reign of terror and oppression, Muslim rulers too had become supporters of the US.

They said the UN had raised a hue and cry over bomb blasts in Mumbai but remained silent when Palestinians were being killed.
