Classes start at BZU’s DG Khan campus
MULTAN, Dec 31: Regular classes have been started at the Dera Ghazi Khan campus of the Bahauddin Zakariya University while the admission process for MBA executive and MSc sociology will be completed by mid January.
This was stated by Bahauddin Zakariya University vice-chancellor Dr Muhammad Zaffarullah here on Wednesday.
He said the construction work on the campus building had been completed with an expenditure of Rs40 million and some 100 acre more land had also been acquired for the campus.
The VC said a case for the acquisition of another 800 acre piece of land had been sent to the Board of Revenue for approval.
He said the PC-II for the preparation of a feasibility report for the establishment of a full-fledged campus at a cost of Rs3 billion had been approved while a summer camp on four acre land would also be constructed at Fort Munro.
Dr Zaffarullah said that buses for transportation of students had been purchased and the university had also hired buildings on rent for boys and girls’ hostel.
According to a handout issued by the BZU, the admission forms for Dera Ghazi Khan campus could be collected till Jan 16 and the first merit list would be pasted on Jan 19, the second on Jan 22 and the third on Jan 26.
