TAXILA, Jan 10: A joint investigation team of the police and other law enforcement agencies have completed their interrogation of two suspects arrested while entering a high security zone in Wah Cantonment with arms, ammunition and masks.

Police sources on Sunday said Abdul Rasheed and Tanasab Khan were spotted entering a high security zone as the Muharram 10 procession was underway. During a search of their vehicle, a Kalashnikov, two pistols and a large number of bullets and masks were recovered from the hidden parts of their vehicle. This recovery stirred a wave of concern among the security and law enforcement agencies.

Later Wah Cantonment Police, after initial interrogation, handed over the suspects to a joint investigation team which conducted its probe.

Police sources have confirmed that the suspects were planning to sabotage the Muharram procession.
