KARACHI: Screening of classic film

KARACHI, Jan 14: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday adjourned till Jan 18 the hearing of a constitution petition seeking permission to screen/exhibit a pre-independence classic film.

The petitioner maintained that the film, Anmol Garhi, was produced in 1946, a year before Pakistan came into being. The film was made under the banner of Mehboob Productions and does not fall within the category of a film imported from India. No restriction could be placed on the screening or exhibition of the said film, prays the petitioner.—APP
