Taliban kill six ‘US spies’

MIRAMSHAH, Jan 20: Taliban militants in North Waziristan killed six people, two of them Afghan nationals, after accusing them of spying for the United States. Two of them were killed in Mirali town and the bullet-riddled bodies of two other were found near Miramshah, the regional headquarters of the agency.

Local people said that a note found near four bodies thrown on a road near Mirali bazaar said: “These bodies are a gift to US President Barack Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai.” Residents were warned not to remove the bodies.

Officials identified the six as Gul Zali Khan, Nisar Khan, Shahideen Khattak, Abdul Majeed, Manu Khan and Shader Khan.
