KARACHI, Jan 23: A mild earthquake of 2.4 magnitude on Richter scale jolted some areas of Malir at 7:52am on Friday.

Its epicentre was 10km deep. People also felt the tremors that continued for a few seconds, said Sindh Region Chief Meteorologist M. Riyaz.

Tremors of such type were also recorded on the first three days of this month and then on Jan 15 in Korangi with magnitudes of 2.6, 2, 2.2 to 1.2 and 1.2 on Richter scale, respectively, he added.—PPI
