Only PPP activists get jobs: Mumtaz
LARKANA, Jan 23: The chief of Sindh National Front (SNF), Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, said despite extra ordinary security measures the PPP leaders could not dare to face people and avoid appearance at public meetings.
Talking to different delegations in Mirpur Bhutto on Friday, he said people are now fully aware of what he called hollow promises and tall claims of the rulers.
He said they (rulers) had restricted the slogan of ‘roti, kapra aur makan’ to only their workers and favourites leaving poor to go deep down the crisis.
He said jobs were only dished out to the PPP workers and a large number of people were kept on false hopes to be financially assisted through Benazir Income Support Programme.
He said economic conditions in the country were very poor where the parents were compelled to sell their children to get food.
He claimed that PPP government had no resources to pay the army of recently reinstated employees whom it had recruited in its last days of government.
He questioned that where they would be accommodated as there existed no such vacancies. It could only be possible if rulers cut down their lavish expenditures. But it would not happen, he predicted.
Terming government’s reconciliation policy a failure because it had multiplied peoples’ problems, he alleged that it pushed the country towards economic crisis.
He said government had lost its writ in NWFP and Northern areas and loosing its control in Balochistan.
