NAWABSHAH: Motorcycle snatcher thrashed

NAWABSHAH, Jan 27: Residents of Gharibabad Mohalla severely thrashed a motorcycle snatcher here on Tuesday.

He was caught red handed by the residents while three of his accomplices managed to escape when Adnan Qureshi, a motorcyclist, raised hue and cry and sought help in Gharibabad Mohalla during motorcycle snatching bid. A large number of people rushed to the scene and overpowered the culprits.

The enraged residents severely beat the motorcycle snatcher and also tried to set him ablaze. However, he was later handed over to A- section police after the intervention of senior citizens.

KILLED: A man was shot dead by unidentified armed men in the city limits on Monday night.

Shakeel Cheema, 30, was seriously injured when some motorcyclists opened fire at him. The attackers managed to escape from the scene. The injured was taken to PMC hospital where he was pronounced dead.
