KARACHI: Murder suspect remanded

KARACHI, Jan 30: A murder suspect was remanded in police custody on four-day transit remand by a judicial magistrate (Malir) on Friday.

The suspect, Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, who had been suspended from the post of tehsil nazim, was arrested on Jan 28 at Karachi Airport for his alleged involvement in the murder of Awami National Party MPA Akhtar Nawaz Khan in Haripur.

Remanding the suspect in police custody, the magistrate directed the police to produce him before court within four days.
