KOHAT: House damaged in Kohat rocket attack

KOHAT, Feb 1: A house was damaged in rocket attack here on Sunday.

Officials said that the militants fired two rockets from the Bezote area of adjoining Orakzai Agency one of which exploded in the house of a government contractor, Safdar, near the Combined Military Hospital.

The bomb disposal squad and the police were searching for the second rocket when it exploded in the same vicinity. No causality was reported. The Cantonment police registered a case against unknown militants and started investigation.

Addressing a function here on Sunday, Dr Fana expressed reservations over some portions of the curriculum of the primary level education. While appreciating the role of private schools in promoting education, he asked the owners to pay attention to character-building of students.

The best teacher’s award went to Khalida, Qurratulain, Musarat Naz, Abdur Rab, Javed Hussain, Mohammad Saqlain, Abdur Razzaq and 17 other teachers. The function was attended by District Education Officer Abdul Khaliq, Executive Education Officer Mohammad Imtiazul Haq and others.
