SL beat Pakistan by three wickets
ISLAMABAD, Feb 7: Another thrilling encounter in the Triangular Women One-day International cricket series in Bangladesh saw Sri Lanka beating Pakistan by three wickets.
According to the reports made available here on Saturday, Pakistan, sent in to bat first, were all out for 103 in 41.5 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka made 105 at the cost of seven wickets to reach their target in 30.4 overs.
Just four Pakistani batswomen, Sana Mir (15), Javeria Khan (11), wicketkeeper Arman Khan (25) and Almas Akram (19), reached double figures. C. Sinaviratne led the list of wicket-takers with 3-26 while four other bowlers, R. Fernando, De Alwis, Siriwardene and Polgampala, took a wicket apiece.
Five Sri Lankan women, namely, De Silva, H. Fernando, Siriwardene, De Alwis and E. Kaushalya, entered double digits with three wickets each going to Almas Akram and Javeria Khan while Asmavia Iqbal took one.
Pakistan had comfortably beaten hosts Bangladesh in their first match on Friday.—APP
