Gujar Khan gets traffic warden system

GUJAR KHAN, Feb 21: City police officer Rao Mohammad Iqbal on Saturday announced launching of traffic warden system in Gujar Khan, Taxila, Kalar Syedan and Kahuta tehsils during a ceremony held at Jinnah Hall.

The city police officer during his address said that traffic warden system had proved a success in the urban areas of big cities in Punjab.

Mr Rao said that induction of traffic wardens in the rural and urban areas of Rawalpindi district would help solve the traffic problems. He said that the level of civilized life in a society was gauged by the traffic flow on the roads.

Mr Rao also directed the traffic wardens to educate road users about the traffic laws and create awareness of the road safety. He also urged upon the residents of the area to cooperate with the wardens in making the journey on roads safe and secure. He said in Murre Tehsil this system of traffic had already been launched.
