KARACHI: Sardar Yaqoob visits Nine Zero

KARACHI, Feb 23: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob Khan on Monday visited the Muttahida Qaumi Movement headquarters “Nine Zero” on Monday to express his gratitude to the MQM leadership for its support in his election.

Two MQM members of the AJK legislative assembly had supported Sardar Yaqoob in his election and also backed a no-confidence motion against the defeated prime minister, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan.

The AJK premier was given a rousing welcome at the Nine Zero where he was received by members of the MQM coordination committee and a large number of other people.

Later, he held a meeting with the party leaders. MQM chief Altaf Hussain also joined them over the phone from London.

Declaring Mr Hussain an international leader, Sardar Yaqoob thanked him for expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

Mr Hussain said he would very soon send Karachi Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal to Kashmir. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad would also visit Kashmir, he added.
