RAHIM YAR KHAN: Nazim pledges land for medical college

RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 5: The land for the construction of a nuclear medical centre and Sheikh Zayed Medical College will soon be provided to extend maximum health facilities to the people.

This was stated by District Nazim Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mehmood while speaking at a meeting here on Monday at Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

He said that a committee had been formed to solve the problems of the hospital. He, however, said that the hospital administration was in proper hands.

Sheikh Zayed Medical College principal Dr Eas Muhammad said that over 42,000 patients had been treated in the hospital during the first six months of the year. He said the government had provided Rs150 million to the hospital this year.

ARRESTED: The police arrested 20 drug pushers, two proclaimed offenders Azam and Riaz and recovered 17 stolen motorcycles from a house in a special drive against the outlaws during the last one week.

This was stated by City circle ASP Javed Jaskani while talking to newsmen here on Sunday. He said that the efficient and hard working policemen would be given commendation certificates and cash prizes.
