MIANWALI: Sewerage project launched

MIANWALI, Feb 6: A mega sewerage project has been launched in the city. Laying the foundation stone of the project on Friday, district Nazim Humair Hayat Khan Rokri told newsmen that the first phase of the project would cost Rs20 million , and it would facilitate the people residing in the north, including Mohallah Hashim Shah, Roshan and Ballokhel Road.

He said the governor had sanctioned funds amounting to Rs49.77 million for the completion of the Government Institute of Technology, Moharanwala. The Germany had provided 4.5 million Euros for the upgradation of tehsil and district headquarters hospitals in Isakhel, Piplan, Kalabagh and Mianwali, he said.

The Nazim said the Punjab government had released a grant of Rs25 million for development projects in PP-44 and 45 and Rs33.66 million for the completion of a 40-bed hospital in Piplan.
