RAHIM YAR KHAN: Lady doctors to be posted at BHCs

RAHIM YAR KHAN, March 11: Despite incurring a huge expenditure of Rs1 billion annually on basic health centres, the desired results have not been achieved.

This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi while speaking to doctors of the Primary Health Project in Jamal Dinwali village here on Thursday.

He said that it was being considered that the pattern of Rahim Yar Khan district should be followed across the province for the provision of modern health facilities to rural masses.

He said that priority would be given to women's health, and for this purpose, lady doctors would be appointed in all BHC's. He also approved funds for the uplift of education in Jamaldinwali.

The chief minister also inaugurated the new Eidgah Road besides laying the foundation stone of Sheikh Zayed Medical College in Rahim Yar Khan.
