SHEIKHUPURA: Accused shot dead in 'encounter'

SHEIKHUPURA, March 19: A proclaimed offender was shot dead in an encounter with Saddar police team on Friday evening. Reports said PO Amir had come to Sahoki Malian village where he had abducted a boy of his rival.

He was fleeing with the boy when a police team, led by information, chased him. After an exchange of fire, the PO was shot dead. DPO Chaudhry Nawaz Warraich said the deceased was wanted in several cases. Saddar police are investigating.

TWO KILLED: A young boy was shot dead by his rivals at Dera Abdullah Bhattian on Friday. According to reports, Ghazanfar died in his sleep after being shot by Abdul Sattar, of the same locality, over property dispute.

Saddar police are investigating. In another incident, Akbar and his colleagues shot Zaman, 16, son of his rival, at Zafar Park in Muridke police station precinct. The motive behind the incident was said to be a property dispute.
