SARGODHA: Free books Limited stocks in Sargodha schools

SARGODHA, March 23: Under the Punjab government plan of distributing free books among all primary students, a limited stock has been made available to the district.

Sources said the number of books supplied to the Sargodha district government could hardly meet the requirement of 25 per cent students. When contacted, district education officer (elementary) Malik Muhammad Yousaf said that they had forwarded the entire stock for onward distribution among pupils but did not give demand and supply figures.

"The shortage of books will make no difference as the students can share the books," he said.

IJT: Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) staged a protest rally in front of the Sargodha Press Club and set ablaze national flags of America and Israel. The protesters criticized the Wana operation and also voiced their concern over the Kashmir diplomacy and exclusion of Quranic verses from curriculum.
