HAFIZABAD: Private students being denied admission

HAFIZABAD, April 30: Students of unregistered private schools are not being allowed admission in the government high schools to the Hafizabad district.

The worried parents have ripped to shreds the discriminatory policy adopted by the Education department.

Executive district officer (education) Mian Sharif said as per the policy the students of only registered private schools would be eligible to get admission in government schools. For this purpose, a student was required to present his enrolment record after getting it verified by the AEO, the DO (elementary) and the EDO (elementary) schools.

Condemning the decision of the education department, the father of a 6th class student questioned the government how it could achieve the 100 percent literacy without the help of the private sector.
