GUJRANWALA: Seven injured as cylinder explodes

GUJRANWALA, May 4: Seven workers sustained injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in a steel mills here on Tuesday. Sabir Husain, Abdul Latif, Liaquat Ali, Abid and Abdul Ghafoor etc. , were busy in working in the factory near Rawalpindi bypass intersection when the incident took place.

The injured were admitted to the DHQ hospital where condition of Sabir and Abid was stated to be serious.

CORRUPTION CASE: A case was registered against a revenue officer, qanoongo and patwari by the Anti-Corruption Establishment here on Tuesday.

Revenue officer Khadim Husain, qanoongo Tufail and patwari Riaz allegedly received heavy bribe from a farmer and transferred the agricultural land to one Muhammad Ali in his name in Thatha Khokeran village.

ACCIDENT: two cousins were killed in an accident in Aujala Kalan village, Ghakkhar, on Monday. Rafah and Ali Raza were crossing a road when a speeding car knocked them down. They succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.
