SHEIKHUPURA: Police claim arrest of children's killers

SHEIKHUPURA, May 17: Muridke police claim to have arrested a sorcerer and his disciple involved in the killing of three children in Daoke village. This was given out by DPO Nawaz Warraich and SP investigation Tariq Abbas Qureshi in a joint press conference here on Monday.

The DPO told newsmen that a raiding team led by the SP investigation had carried out a door-to-door search to solve the mysterious killing of the three children. He said the arrested accused - Malang Imdad Hussain and his disciple Hafiz Arshad - had opened a shop in Daoke village.

Claiming to be the master in black magic, they would distribute taveez to innocent villagers. He said that Malang Imdad Hussain of Faisalabad had been living in Daoke village for the last five years.

In the guise of taveez seekers, the DPO said that members of the raiding team started visiting their shop regularly. Within a short period, they gained the confidence of the two sorcerers, who divulged some startling information about the killing of children in Daoke village.

The DPO said that during interrogation the arrested sorcerers confessed to have butchered the three children on April 13, 16 and 23. He said that accused Imdad Hussain had asked his disciple to bring blood of three children to become a black magician.

Later, the arrested sorcerer, looking abnormal and talking insensibly, were presented before the newsmen. They also confessed to their involvement in the three gory incidents. They claimed that they did what some evil powers had ordered them to do.

Had they not been arrested they would have butchered many other children, they further disclosed. Sheikhupura Range DIG Saqlain Naqvi announced cash reward and certificates for the police officials for resolving the mystery of brutal killings of three children.
