DERA GHAZI KHAN, June 6: The BISE administration has reportedly shelved the matter of a 'scratched' envelope containing objective question papers of Urdu for the SSC examinations.

Reports said a female superintendent deputed at a city examination centre received a scratched envelope of question papers on March 5. She reported the matter to the authorities concerned but no action had been taken by now.

Some sources alleged that private academies and schools were involved along with the board officials in the question paper scandal. During transportation of question papers to the bank, envelops were allegedly opened to sell copies to the owners of private academies and schools.

When the correspondent contacted controller examinations Syed Sajjad Hussain Bokhari, he refused to comment. However, Board Chairman Zahid Hussain Bokhari told Dawn that the envelope was incidentally scratched during transportation and there was no need of an inquiry.

JUSTICE SOUGHT: A villager has sought justice from the Punjab chief minister against the alleged trespassing by some officials of the border military police into his shop.

In an application, Raheem Bakhsh Khosa, a resident of tribal area of Gori, alleged that some BMP officials took away valuables from his shop on June 1. Later, he said, the same team, led by Dafadar Amanullah forced its entry into his house and tortured him and his wife.

Meanwhile, scores of villagers had blocked the Nadi Dallana Road as mark of protest against the BMP officials' excesses. It is a matter of concern that neither the tribal area administration nor the BMP high-ups took notice of the incident.
