HYDERABAD: Law, order situation hinders Hesco supply

HYDERABAD, June 10: The Chief Executive of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company, Mr Adeebul Hassan, recently visited the reclamation of transformers workshop in Sukkur and various grid stations in upper Sindh.

A Hesco spokesman in a statement on Wednesday said that during his first visit to various grid stations, the Hesco chief directed the officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the consumers and reduce line losses and improve recovery position.

On this occasion the officials complained that their work was being hampered due to prevailing lawlessness in upper Sindh. He assured the officials that he would talk to the authorities concerned to extend full cooperation to the Hesco staff during the performance of their official duties.

Mr Hassan also visited the thermal powerhouse Sukkur and directed the resident engineer and staff to reactivate the powerhouse to meet the increasing demand of electricity.

BAN: District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman under section 144 CrPC has banned the entry of cattle into lakes, canals, lagoons and other water storage facilities in Latifabad, Hyderabad and Qasimabad talukas of the district with immediate effect. The order will remain in force upto June 14.

LUMHS EXAMS: The examinations for the posts of assistant professor in the LUMHS are scheduled to be held on June 17 at 11am in the new lecture hall of the university. SPSC: The Sindh Public Service Commission has announced the results of the interviews for the posts of dental surgeon in the Sindh health department. The commission has found 32 candidates fit and recommended their names to the government for appointment.
