HYDERABAD: Varsity expansion - call to speed up work on projects
HYDERABAD, July 2: The vice-chancellor, University of Sindh, Mr Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, has directed the authorities concerned to complete the ongoing construction work within stipulated time.
This he stated while visiting under construction hi-tech resources laboratory, buildings for new class rooms, institute of bio-technology and genetic engineering, extension building of the institute of mathematics and computer sciences on Friday.
The vice-chancellor inspected the on-going work of building of the hi-tech resources laboratory. The project director of the university informed the vice- chancellor that on-going work of the laboratory would be completed during the current year. He informed that the work of classrooms would be completed within a couple of days.
ADMISSIONS: The director admissions, university of Sindh, on Friday announced the schedule for admissions to BHP.Ed and MHP.Ed in the centre for health and physical education for the academic session 2004-05.
The candidates having bachelor degree with at least 45 per cent marks will be eligible for admissions. The admission forms can be obtained from July 15 to July 30 from the HBL Jamshoro and Old Campus branches on prescribed payment.
The last date for submission of admission forms by hand at the office of the director admissions AC-II section or the director centre for health and physical education has been fixed as Aug 2.
The aptitude test, interview and trials for admission to BHP.Ed will be conducted on Aug 16 and 17 and for MHP.Ed on Aug 18 and 19 at the centre for health and physical education.
The final list of selected candidates will be announced on Aug 25. The selected candidates will deposit admission fee between Aug 26 to Sept 15 and classes will commence from Sept 1.
LUMHS: The controller of examinations, Liaquat university of medical and health sciences on Friday announced the result of first professional MBBS (part-II) annual examination 2004 LUMHS, Chandka Medical College, People's Medical College held in the month of March 2004.
Meanwhile, the additional controller of examinations has announced that the last date for submission of examination forms of first professional MBBS (part-II) bi-annual examination 2004 has been fixed as July 17 without late fee and with late fee of Rs200 as July 24. The examinations will be held at the LUMHS, Chandka Medical College and People's Medical College centres.
SPSC: The controller of examinations, Sindh Public Service Commission has announced the names of suitable candidates who were interviewed by the commission for various posts in labour, transport, industries and commerce departments.
The commission found four candidates fit for the post of senior instructor electrical (BPS-16), two candidates for the posts of senior instructor RTV (BPS-16), one for senior instructor civil drafting (BPS-16), two for senior instructor refrigeration and A/C (BPS-16), two for manpower survey officer (BPS-11), three for assistant (BPS-11) and 12 for posts of stenographer (BPS-12).
The commission recommended their names to the Sindh government for appointment against the said posts. The commission recommended names of Ayaz Uqaili, son of Aijaz Ahmed, (urban) for the post of senior manager network/hardware (BPS-18), Ghulam Murtaza, son of Ghulam Qadir Abbasi, (rural) for the post of senior manager system analyst (BPS-18), Zahid Shaikh, son of Manzoor Ali, (urban) for the post of senior manager software (BPS-18) and Shafique Memon, son of Mohammad Sadiq (rural) for the post of senior manager database (BPS-18). The commission interviewed the above said candidates for various fields of information technology department, the government of Sindh.
