Rail link with Iran in a year and half

LAHORE, Aug 5: An Iranian delegation has assured the Pakistan Railways authorities that link between Zahidan and Kirman would be established within one-and-a-half years.

The assurance was given by the three-member Iranian delegation during a meeting with PR general manager (operations) Aurangzeb Khan and other senior officers at the Railways Headquarters here on Thursday.

The delegation was headed by Hamid Yarmand and comprised Hussain Tahami and Saeed Jaleel. The meeting decided to further strengthen the rail link between Pakistan and Iran to promote trade. The delegation had held talks with PR's Quetta divisional superintendent Shafiqullah and other officers before coming to Lahore.
