DADU: Doctors in Dadu hold protest
DADU, Aug 11: Doctors and paramedical staff in all taluka and civil hospitals in the district boycotted their duties on Wednesday and demanded that the accused involved in an attack on Dr Tek Chand, the medical superintendent of the Taluka Hospital, Thano Bula Khan, be arrested.
They boycotted OPDs in the Civil Hospital, Dadu, taluka hospitals Mehar, Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah and Sehwan. Doctors and paramedical staff took out a procession from the Civil Hospital Dadu and after passing through the main roads reached the Dadu press club.
Civil Surgeon Dr Javed Dawach and a leader of the Paramedical Staff Association, Basheer Panhwar, led the protesters. Speaking on the occasion, they said if police did not arrest eight accused nominated in the FIR, they would continue their protest.
ARRESTED: The Tharari Mohabat police conducted a raid on the Mehar Link Road on Wednesday and arrested a bandit, Alauddin Narejo. The police claimed to have seized one mouser and 20 bullets from him.
