QUETTA: MSF to hold nation wide rallies for Musharraf

QUETTA, Oct 5: The Muslim Students Federation (MSF) has announced that it will hold nation wide rallies to ask President Musharraf to remain president as well as army chief to ensure the stability of democratic institutions in the country.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, MSF central president Inyatullah Kakar criticized nationalists for opposing mega uplift plans and establishment of cantonments in Balochistan.

On the occasion, a large number of students led by Naqibullah Nurzai announced support to the MSF leader. According to Inyatullah Kakar, President Musharraf was the only ruler during last five decades who had launched massive development projects in the province. These schemes after completion would bring revolutionary changes in Balochistan.

He said President Musharraf was the symbol of prosperity for the people of Balochistan and rest of the country, and added that the previous rulers always ignored this backward province, that developed deprivation and disappointment among the people, but now the situation had changed in view of the mega projects.

The MSF chief declared that his organization would hold rallies throughout the country in favour of President Musharraf. An overwhelming majority was in favour that the president should not shed his uniform for the sake of national integrity and to ensure continuation of the political process, he claimed.
