SARGODHA: Two ACE men booked for corruption

SARGODHA, Oct 12: Two officials of the anti-corruption establishment were booked on Tuesday for 'receiving bribe.'

Reports said Assistant-Director Afzal Tarar and Sub-Engineer Ramzan allegedly received Rs45,000 from ex- Khushab district forest officer Imdad Hussain for favour in a corruption case.

The ACE has registered the case under Section 161, 162 of the PPC and 5/2/47 of Prevention of Corruption Act and obtained two-day physical remand.

ARRESTED: A lady police inspector was arrested on Tuesday by the ACE on charges of receiving illegal gratification. Falaksher alleged that he met Mrs Pervez Aslam in the chamber of his lawyer, Rana Saleem Akhtar and sought her help for analysis of finger prints in connection with a case.

He said the inspector demanded Rs30,000 which were paid to her in the presence the lawyer and other witnesses. He said she did not get the job done and finally refused to return the amount. The ACE has registered a case against her.
