SHEIKHUPURA: Woman burnt alive by in-laws

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 5: A mother of a minor was burnt alive over a family dispute by her in-laws in Mananwala, about 36 kilometres away on Faisalabad Road, on Friday.

Sajida, the wife of Yasser, had not good terms with her mother-in-law. Her mother-in-law, with the help of her two daughters, sprinkled kerosene on her body and set her to fire. She died on way to hospital. Mananwala police have registered a case against Yasser, his brother Amar, mother Nooran and sisters Nadia and Nasreen.

HOUSE ROBBERY: Three unidentified robbers took away cash and other valuables worth around Rs1 million from the house of Rizwan, resident of Saikhum village on Sheikhupura-Muridke road, some 18 kms away from here, on Friday. In another incident, three highwaymen deprived Nasir Mahmood and his wife of gold jewellery, cash and a motorcycle near Sohib Pind.
