Lahore Whites draw tie with Multan
LAHORE, Dec 12: Stubborn batting by tail enders helped Multan hold Lahore Whites to a draw in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy at Multan Stadium, Multan on Sunday.
An unbeaten knock by Shahid Hameed (50, four fours, two sixes, 29 balls), Kamran Hussain (37) and Abdul Rauf (38) enabled Multan, who had conceded 31 runs lead on the first innings, to earn a respectable total of 264 in the second innings after resuming from an alarming position of 87-4 in the morning to set a winning target of 234 for Lahore to win.
Lahore Whites could collect a total of 80 for one in the second innings in 31 overs, before the regulation time ended. After the draw, both the teams are joint at the point-table with 15 points from eight matches, each.
