SUKKUR: Three killed over land dispute

SUKKUR, Jan 6: Three people were gunned down by armed men over a land dispute in Ghotki district on Thursday. Bandit Mir Shaikh, who is wanted by police in hundreds of cases of kidnapping and murder , and his accomplices are said to be involved in murders.

Mir Shaikh had a dispute with some people over the possession of land in the Katcha area of the district. Amin Shaikh, son of Sachal Shaikh, and two brothers Jumo and Siddique, sons of Usman Shaikh, were returning after burial of a relative when they reached near Mir pull, twelve armed men, led by Mir Shaikh, fired upon them.

As a result, they were killed on the spot while several were injured whose names were not ascertained immediately. No FIR was registered till the filing of the report. The incident occurred at about 4:30pm. The bodies were shifted to the Ghotki civil hospital for post-mortem.
