SIALKOT: DHQ hospital to have incinerators

SIALKOT, Jan 11: The district government will soon install incinerators at the District Headquarters Hospital for burning solid waste of government hospitals and private clinics.

This was stated by DCO Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi while talking to newsmen on Tuesday. He said the local government would also provide quality rickshaw silencers to the owners of the three-wheelers on subsidized rates to minimize noise and air pollution.

Besides, he said, environment clubs would be established in the local schools and colleges for creating awareness among the students about the hazards of pollution.

DRUGS: The Sialkot district government has purchased life-saving drugs worth Rs40 million for all the hospitals and health centres and enhanced 10 per cent quota of medicines. District Nazim Mian Naeem Javed told newsmen on Tuesday that special steps had been taken to provide health facilities to people.
