SUKKUR: Kidnapped judges' release likely

SUKKUR, Jan 19: Three police officers with the help of some influential people have geared up efforts for getting two kidnapped judges released before Eidul Azha, according to sources.

According to information gathered by this correspondent, the efforts to strike a deal with the kidnappers have been intensified and some influential people belonging to Balochistan have been contacted in this regard

The kidnapped judges, Abdul Wahab Abbasi and Farooq Ahmed Channa, have been kept at some place in Sibi, Balochistan, and earlier they were kept in the Thul area of Jacobabad district in Sindh.

The influential people belonging to Thul recently contacted the kidnappers and they demanded ransom and release of bandit Bagoo Jatoi from the central jail of Sukkur. The police officials involved in the deal efforts showed their inability to get Jatoi released as he had been convicted of heinous crimes and sentenced twice by the anti-terrorism courts.
