ATTOCK: 'Victimization' of MPA condemned

ATTOCK, Jan 28: The local political leaders have condemned what they termed the harassment of Dr Asad Moazzam, a Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Member of the Punjab Assembly, by the state agencies.

PPP leader and former president of District Bar Association, Attock, Sheikh Ehsanuddin Advocate and Chief Coordinator ARD Attock district, Rana Liaquat Ali Khan in a statement said the government was pursuing the agenda of political victimization.

He said the terrorist style adopted by the Faisalabad police during a raid on the house of Dr Moazzam was typical of a police state. He said the police officials, who acted as party workers of the ruling party, must be suspended immediately.
