Certification for non-profit organizations

ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: The Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy has granted seven non-profit organizations (NPO) certification award for maintaining good standards in internal governance, financial management and programme delivery, says a press release.

The certified organizations are Trust for Rural Uplift and Community Education (TRUCE), Sahil, Saifee Hospital Trust, Al-Mehrab Tibbi Imdad (AMTI), Citizen Education Foundation (CEDF), Kashmir Education Foundation (KEF) and Shehri Citizen for Better Environment (Shehri CBE).

The certification panel, headed by Dr Humayun Khan, included Bushra Gohar, Iqbal Muzaffar, Raees Ahmad Jahangir, Sajjad Ali and Shamim Ahmed Khan. The NPO Certification Programme is the first of its kind in the South Asian region. Certification is an assessment of an NPO in the areas of its internal governance, financial management and programme delivery.
