BD, India plan joint border patrolling

DHAKA, April 13: Bangladesh and India are likely to begin coordinated frontier patrolling to contain cross border smuggling of drugs and arms across the borders of the two neighbouring countries. “The formula for coordinated patrolling by the two border forces has already been worked out, and we hope it will begin soon,” Major General Jahangir Alam, director-general of Bangladesh Rifles, told reporters on Wednesday.
