MULTAN: Circus owner's appeal dismissed

MULTAN, Jan 31: Additional District and Sessions Judge Arshad Iqbal on Saturday dismissed the appeal of a circus owner against the decision of a civil court.

Civil Judge Sheikh Allah Bakhsh had dismissed the suit of circus owner, seeking a direction for the Kyrgyz artistes to perform in his circus after some eight foreign workers had refused to work for him on alleged breach of the agreement regarding payment of dues and provision of facilities to the artistes.

Pak International Circus owner Israr Shirazi had filed appeal before AD&SJ Arshad Iqbal against the decision of the civil court.

According to the Kyrgyz artistes' counsel, the circus owner has to pay over Rs1.6 million as hotel charges and $ 32,174 as performance dues to the foreign workers.

Meanwhile, Multan DCO Chaudhry Muhammad Ijaz has directed the circus owner to pay the dues of the Kyrgyz artistes according to the agreement.

The Kyrgyz artistes are Ms Tropopova Sveltana, Beletskaya Elena, Ejov Denis, Tunubeko Bakytebk, Kasymov Erbol, Daudov Aibek, Miroshniechenko Egor and Alec.-APP
