PPP criticizes Musharraf for disgracing N-scientist

SHIKARPUR, Feb 7: People's Party Parliamentarians leader Agha Siraj Durrani has criticized President Gen Pervez Musharraf for disgracing the respected scientist of the country, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he expressed concern over the government attitude towards nuclear scientists.

He also rejected the statements that PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto was involved in roll back of the nuclear programme of the country.

MMA: Sindh Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal president Asadullah Bhutto has said the country is facing a threat to its security due to what he called wrong policies of the government.

He in this context referred to a statement of International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohammad ElBaradei who wanted further investigations into Pakistan's nuclear pro-liferation even after deciding the fate of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Speaking at a gathering after Friday prayers in Rohri in connection with the party strike call, he said the nation would bear the consequences of the policies of President Gen Pervez Musharraf in the future.
