SAHIWAL: Lawyers to boycott state functions

SAHIWAL, March 13: The District Bar Association has formed a 16-member committee to pursue the murder case of two of their colleagues.

This was announced at a press conference here on Saturday by DBA president Mehr Qutubuddin Tarik.

He said lawyers were conscious of the sufferings of the litigants. The committee was formed keeping in view their problems, he added.

He said the committee member would attend court proceedings and other matters regarding murder of advocates of Rashid Anwar and Rana Sultan Alam.

However, the lawyers continue token protest till the killers of their colleagues arrested and duly punished. They would boycott every state function, including Jashn-i-Baharan, Mr Tarik concluded.
