GUJRANWALA: Ex-DIG barred from going abroad

GUJRANWALA, April 24: The anti-terrorism court (ATC) No 1 on Saturday restrained former DIG Malik Iqbal, an accused in Sialkot jail case, from going abroad.

Judge Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah rejected the prosecution's plea for the cancellation of bail of Sialkot hospital's medical superintendent Dr Firdous and Dr Sajjad Ahmad.

The judge adjourned for May 11 the hearing of the bail pleas of former inspector Zulfikar Ali Virk and jail officials Riasat, Hafiz and Abdul Aziz.

Meanwhile, Investigating officer Sialkot Civil Lines SHO Sanaullah Dhillon submitted the supplementary chargesheet against Zulfikar Virk. All the accused were present in the court.
