SANGHAR: 11,000 take test for teaching posts

SANGHAR, May 29: More than 11,000 candidates appeared in the test for primary school teachers on Saturday. At least 23 examination centres, three of them for women candidates, were setup in government high schools, polytechnic institutes and colleges.

Some 8,000 man and 2,400 women candidates appeared in the test.

PROTEST: Primary teachers on Saturday took out a protest demonstration against an attack on a headmaster in Khipro.

Two villagers, Rafique and Ismail, went to a primary school near Chhottoo village in Khipro taluka and asked the headmaster, Nasir Jat, to teach children.

The headmaster said that he could not do this without the transfer orders from the ministry of education. On this the two men beat the headmaster.
