Among the illegal users of the official two-wheelers were top education department officials, including the director public instructions (elementary education), the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education chairman, executive district officers, and principals of institutions.

The two-wheelers returned to the department are SLE-6301, SLE-6302, SLE-6303, KW-3708, MNK-9442, KW-3716, MHA-3582, MHA-3530, VRB-4349, VRB-4025, KW-3686, and KW-3709.

It is learnt that Executive District Officer (Education) Chaudhry Nazeer Ahmad has written letters to the authorities concerned in the education and accounts departments to ensure recovery of the motorbikes.

He has reportedly urged the accounts department to stop paying salaries and pensions to the serving and retired officials, who have failed to meet the deadline.
