MULTAN: Van-trailer collision leaves five dead

MULTAN, Sept 25: Five people were killed and several others injured when a passenger wagon collided head-on with an NLC trailer here on Saturday.

Set off from Kot Addu carrying about 20 passengers, the wagon was to reach Multan when it met with the accident while overtaking another vehicle near Hamidpur Kunora in the outskirts of the city.

Imdad Husain died on the spot while four others succumbed to their wounds at the Nishter Hospital. Two of them were identified as Allah Ditta and Abdul Razzaq.

Among the 10 injured admitted to the hospital, the names of the eight critically injured were Mureed Husain, Abdullah, Khadim Husain, Fazal, Ali Raza, Khadim Husain (of Mahmoodkot), Falaksher and Muhammad Husain.
