MINGORA: Two killed as gunmen attack vehicle

MINGORA, Oct 18: Three people were killed in two different incidents here on Sunday night. A man, Mumtaz Ali, was reported to have some differences with his in-laws over his plan to marry another woman. And people of the area had tried to settle the dispute.

On Sunday evening he was returning home when some unidentified persons opened fire at his vehicle. Mumtaz Ali died on the spot, whereas a passerby, Afzal Khan, son of Andalib, was fatally injured. He died in a hospital.

Police registered a case against Sabz Ali and Ghafar Khan, sons of Gul Rehman, resident of Toha Charbagh. No arrest was made till Monday evening.

In another incident a truck hit a cyclist, Fazal Rehman, resident of Salanda Manglowar, who died later. Fazal Rehman's father pardoned the driver, Fazal Karim, resident of Shah Dara.
