HYDERABAD: MMA to start mass contact movement
HYDERABAD, Oct 21: District and city chapters of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal at a meeting held at the Ruknul Islam Jamia Mosque here on Wednesday evening decided to launch a mass contact movement for the next local bodies elections.
A committee was appointed in this connection under the leadership of MNA Khair Mohammad Zubair with MPA Rehman Rajput, Abdul Waheed Qureshi and Taj Mohammad Nahiyo as its members.
The meeting expressed dissatisfaction over the Ramazan package and called upon the administration to award exemplary punishment to hoarders and profiteers.
Speaking on the occasion, MNA Zubair said the uniform bill was a fraud with the masses and added that Gen Pervez Musharraf was bound to discard uniform by Dec 31.
