Musharraf to be ‘forced’ not to isolate Kashmiris

LAHORE, June 2: Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Husain Ahmad has said his party in collaboration with the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and other patriotic parties will force Gen Pervez Musharraf not to isolate Kashmiris under the US and Israeli pressure.

Speaking at a Seerat conference in Rajgarh here on Sunday, he said the Jamaat and the MMA would organize a big rally at the Minar-i-Pakistan to check Musharraf take a U-turn on the Kashmir policy.

He urged the general to appoint a full-time chief of army staff and withdraw forces from civilian institutions keeping in view volatile border situation.
