NAWABSHAH: Damaged tracks: two trains escape accident
NAWABSHAH, Oct 31: Two trains escaped accidents after the railway track at two places was found broken on Sunday.
A railway official told journalists that the Karachi-bound Faisalabad night coach was stopped at the Nawabshah railway station at 7:40am after assistant station master Ghulam Mustafa noticed on the panel of the track circuit system that the track was not clear and sent assistant block inspector Mohammad Aslam for inspection who found that the track was broken between Nawabshah and Serhari.
The night coach left for Karachi at 8:30am after the track was repaired.
The track was also found broken at another place between Nawabshah and Buchheri. The driver of 34-down Super Express noticed that the track was broken and informed railway station authorities.
POLICEMEN BOOKED: On the directives of the district and sessions judge, a case was registered against six police officials at the Qazi Ahmad police station.
Abdul Razzaq Jokho submitted an application before the district and sessions judge, stating that the in charge, investigation, Qazi Ahmad police station, Nizamdin Sehar, ASIs Saleh Brohi and Allah Dino Sehar and constables Salman Otho, Azizullah Sehar and Ameer Bux Brohi raided his house without any warrant, arrested his brother, Ashiq Jokhio, and looted gold and other ornaments.
The FIR against the police officials was registered under section 506, 504 and 342 of PPC.
